Artist History Paper Tigers hails from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. Will and Ryan met at the beginning of their freshman year (fall 2001) and started playing and writing together almost immediatly. A drummer/bassist search ensued. Lucas signed on in the spring of 2002, Jon waltzed into picture in the fall, and here we are today rockin' very, very hard. Something to keep in mind about Paper Tigers: each member has distinctly different idea of what a good band is. Ryan can't go a practice without breaking into "My Iron Lung;" Will likes mainstream things like Counting Crows and Weezer, but also strays slightly from the beaten path with Wilco, Old 97's, and Modest Mouse; Jon brings all the best elements of great jam bands like Phish and Bela Fleck; and who even knows what Lucas likes. He likes poetry, that's right.
