Artist description
At the young age of 16, Sarah Wheeler is already demonstrating her fine abilities as a singer, songwriter and musician. Currently recording and producing her first album, Sarah is a fiercely independent young woman with high standards and even higher goals.
At the age of 12, Sarah first picked up a guitar and began taking lessons. It wasn't long before she wrote her first song and fell in love with creating music. However, her shy nature kept her from performing publicly. It is only recently that she has decided to release her music into the world. Her upcoming album, Child of Tuesday, which she wrote and recorded herself, is tentively scheduled to be released in the fall of 2003.
"These songs are so deeply personal that it literally took me years to gather up enough courage to let others hear them," says Sarah. "I was very afraid of criticism. Every song I write is a little glimpse of my soul--so if people reject my music, then it's as if they were rejecting me. But now I feel comfortable sharing my songs, and I'm looking forward to seeing the reaction that people have to them."
Those that know Sarah best describe her as a sweet, lovable and eccentric girl. Her other hobbies include writing short stories, reading, surfing the web and mehndi tattooing. Her future goals, she says, change everyday: "Right now I just want to continue making music and grow as a musician. Everything else comes second to that." |
