Artist description
The Wireless Set is about all of the things that live in my head. It's like a housewarming combined with a lobotomy |
 |
Music Style
The style of the Wireless Set music tends to vary with my mood. I like to make music that makes people want to do things; be that roll up and chill out, dance or smash up a bus stop. |
 |
Musical Influences
Modern influences have to be producers like 4Hero, Zero 7 and bands like Air who have just done their thing and not conformed to commercial pressures to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Older influences would be the great innovators: Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Brian Eno, The Rotary Connection. For pure songwriting prowess, you can't beat the Small Faces, Bob Marley or Ray Davies. Oh, and Stevie Wonder for everything else. |

Artist History
Played keys for a few years, played guitar for a few after that. Co-write for, play guitar and produce for London SoulGroove band Thabani. Have been involved with that project for a number of years, touring Europe and working the London live circuit (Notting Hill Arts Club residency, Jazz Cafe, Borderline etc). The Wireless Set is me set up on my own, in my gaff with a load of equipment and ideas. |

Group Members
Well there's me, a big, black computer, some guitars and keyboards. Oh and a set of Bongos. Also, in months to come I'm hoping to get some guest artists in to work on some music. |
