Artist History Revelation is the brainchild of producer, composer, singer/songwriter Ornette D Clennon. Originally based in Edinburgh, the flexible group of three: clarinets, voice and percussion, explored a fusion of improvised and traditional folk musics. Back then, the group was expanded to any size and combination depending on the scope of the project. Now based in Manchester, Ornette has adopted more of a role of producer and main singer/songwriter, as the group has been paired down to one. Revelation's debut album, revelation x, which was recorded at the illustrious studios of Soul 2 Soul in Camden, has brought together the talents of the acclaimed Smith Quartet and the virtuoso multi percussionist Pete Lockett. As producer, Ornette has created a unique and refreshing sound fusing together music inspired by traditional Arabic dance music, Bollywood film scores, trip hop, classical music, drum'n'bass and jazz. Ornette still wants to maintain the open collaborative structure of Revelation inspite of being the principal producer and vocalist. Future albums will expand the collaborative scope for Revelation even further by introducing a wider range of producers and artists to the Project.
