Artist History Jeff Surles and Chauvie Lunsford formed the first stage of MacJack Daddy in the summer of 2000, frequenting open mics at Hanover’s in Pflugerville, TX. After collaborating for a few months and writing a steady stream of songs, MacJack Daddy the band began to take shape. The name “MacJack” was derived from their respective sons, MacGregor Surles and Jack Blackwell Lunsford. Summer of 2001 saw the addition of bassist Brett Nasife and Chris Landes on piano. Drummer Dan Simms completed the line-up in winter 2003.
