Artist History Descartes’ Belief has been together for 3 years, evolving their unique style of rock. Previously known as Deliverance, they won the best new band contest at Flamingo Cantina last November 2001. This spring they cut their first CD under the new name of Descartes’ Belief –named after Rene’ Descartes, who among other things, believed that the mind and soul were connected by a single point. The music and lyrics on the 9-song CD, “Searching for Sight” crosses many of the same paths Descartes followed.
