Artist History No Ride Home is a punk/emo band that formed near the end of summer 2001. Our ages range from 14 to almost 16, and we all live in Green Bay, WI. The members are Andy V. who plays guitar and sings about half of the songs, Jason J. , who plays bass and sings the other half of the songs, and Kevin H. who plays drums and does no singing whatsoever. In May of 2002, we played at The Lombardi Battle of the Bands and won in a unanimous decision. Soon after that we played at a couple of parties. We started getting a growing fan base, which even included some parents. After that we started work on our first real CD called “Midnight Test Pattern” which we are making ourselves with a 4-track recorder, and which will have approximately 15 original songs on it. We are going to start playing out as soon as our CD is done, which should be in a month so. Our songs are a mix of faster punk songs and more melodic emo songs. Our influences include: The Descendents, Dead Kennedys, Mineral, The Ataris, Jawbreaker, Rancid, Guster, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Screeching Weasel. Our lyrics are most often satirical in nature, but also are written about life in general and things that make us angry.
