Artist description
The Tickle hails from Fayetteville, Ark., where the members attended the University of Arkansas. The band started as a local project, and it was decided that they would progress if interest was high. After several performances in Fayetteville, the quartet decided to slowly expand, leading to regional shows in cities such as Little Rock, Hot Springs and
Tulsa. They are in the midst of expanding to Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis and Dallas. They're also looking to enter the business of recording for movie soundtracks.
The Tickle recorded at Zero Return Studios in Atlanta the weekend of Labor Day, 2002. The session resulted in the band's debut album, "Specific Ocean," released January 2003 on Big Radius Records. The album is in heavy rotation at KXUA, the Fayetteville college radio station, and has been featured on the local music show on 104.9 The X, the new rock station in Fayetteville. Alternating among instruments has assisted in the group's original sound, which meanders among the rock, jazz and pop genres. The musicians layer trumpets, samples, drum loops and other tricks into the core sound of drums, guitar, bass and keyboards.

Artist History
The Tickle began forming in the summer of 2001, when Andy Dyer (drums), Aaron Aldridge (guitar) and Drew Terry (keyboards) began collaborating after their former groups disbanded. Dyer had recently finished his venture in an instrumental rock trio, and Aldridge and Terry had ended their stint in a progressive/sonic rock band. A couple of months passed, and Dyer, Aldridge and Terry decided to form a band with a focus on creating pleasant sounds that are original and somewhat experimental, but without being difficult for listeners.
The early group invited several musicians in to fill the void at bass, and stumbled upon Chris Wilson in February 2002, officially beginning The Tickle era.
