Artist description
Tear Gas and Plate Glass were formed in the summer of 2001 inspired by bands like Isis, Godflesh, Burning Witch, Goatsnake, and Iron Monkey, not to mention a whole host of others. Our aim was to create simple, heavy and crushing music as a 2 piece. We wanted to capture the all out heaviness of the doom/sludge genre whilst also retaining a very melodic and epic song based approach. We've tried to create music that is recognizably rooted in this genre whilst also attempting to add something fresh and contemporary to the mix. We recorded 3 songs at home in Harmston, Lincolnshire on an 8-track during the summer of 2002. We pressed 100 copies with hand assembled booklets. This, my friends, became our first demo C.D. release. Do please drop us an email if you would like to get hold of one. |

Press Reviews
"A hulking slab of embittered epic sludge/doom, brutal downstrokes and a lingering sense of intangible foulness make this demo of the month in my book." 8.5/10 Terrorizer Magazine
"Nerve shredding vocals, Doom sick ponderous riffage, damn, it's nice to hear some newbies with real potential." www.Doom-metal.com
"It's downtuned and dirty and most certainly belongs in the gutter. I'm looking forward to their next miserable installment already" www.live4metal.com
"Musically this shit is sludgy, nasty, and bitter as hell. Think Eyehategod meets Crowbar meets Dystopia." www.aversionline.com
