Artist History
Displaced was formed in Late 1999 to become one of Western New York's newest and most original Alternative/Metal bands. Members came together from past bands and early friendships to create what is now known as Displaced. Displaced hailing from both Niagara falls and Buffalo, Ny is quickly becoming a strong force in the local music scene with their eclectic sound and talented musicianship. Consisting of vocalist Jimmy Alfiere, Lead guitarist Ron Lepine, bassist Tori Daye, drummer John Dixon, and Guitarist Jay Kosiak. Grabbing influence from bands such as Taproot, Sevendust, Incubus, Staind, and Others to name a few, they pieced together a sound of their own to create a new style of alternative music that sets them apart from the rest in the genre; which include Sevendust reminiscent melodies meshed with Taproot beats, and early Incubus era playfulness. In March of 2003 Displaced decided to step up their musical dedication and decided upon a new mission and attitude, in able to bring the music to the masses. They countinue to push their music and performance to a new level. Displaced's music and professionalism has been compared to that of a national act. Through it all, they have enjoyed the chance to share their music with others and hopes to one day be able to successfully play their music as a fulltime job. |
