Artist History icons and angels was born out of a passion for honest music and began almost by accident. two friends met up in a make-shift studio in july 2001 to record some songs that had been floating around in their heads and hearts. drawing from influences such as elliott smith, the clash and the appleseed cast (to name a few), 8 songs were recorded over the course of 5 days. "the fragile state of innocence" was born. a collection of musical interludes, musical poetry, and the most heartfelt songs the two friends had ever written. a year later the friends found themselves back in the studio with more of their lives to record, resulting in the 12 song album "percival lowell." with songs dealing with subjects such as love, suicide, loss of faith, and hope; icons and angels craft pure, honest and emotional music.
