Artist description
Brace yourself and get ready! You're about to
experience an artist like no other! In an industry
filled with cookie cutter artists, or performers
seeking to be "extreme" only for sake of being
"extreme", once in a lifetime you find a truly
gifted artist with genuine genius. Meet that
artist! Pamela Best is soulful singer, talented
songwriter, gifted lyricist and insightful and
profound poet. In a day when singers are singing
hooks, Pamela is using her voice to share truth and
love and offer joy and hope; when songwriters and
lyricists are simply telling stories, Pamela is
sharing life experiences through her songs, when
poets are performing "verbal gymnastics" Pamela is
bringing our language to life with profound words
of hopefullness and optimism.
Each aspect of Pamela's artistry compliments the other
making her one of the most amazing multi-faceted
artists to hit the scene in recent years. She creates
her poetry under the 'nom de plume' or pen name
RareEpiphany. Pam says this, "Rare means unique
and Epiphany means divine revelation. When you
discover the rareness of who you are and gain the
knowledge of whose you are, you become empowered
to fulfill your special purpose in life. RareEpiphany
is the name I use when creating my work, but I feel
that everyone is a Rare Epiphany - a unique and divine
revelation of the Most High"
From the reminescent journey back to her old
neighborhood in 'My Girlz', to the feel-good
urban dance groove of 'Slide 2 da Lef', to her
riveting and emotional autobiographical poetry
piece 'Independence Day', Pamela allows anyone
who chooses to "know" her; know her expereinces,
feel her emotions and be a part of her artistry. |

Artist History
Pamela is from what she describes as a "itty-bitty
town" in North Caorlina. She began singing when she
began talking. Pamela says she couldn't sing well
early on - but that's difficult to believe. She grew
up singing in church, and continued with various
choirs and groups. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia
in 1995 and has made an indelible stamp on the
hard to impress music community there. She has
been featured on numerous recordings, traveled
with two stage plays, and is lead vocalist for Atlanta's
premier Gospel/Jazz group KOMPANI. She has performed
with KOMPANI at the Atlanta Jazz festival, The Montreux
Atlanta Music Festival, the RiverBend Music Festival in
Chattanooga, Tn., and the Bayfest Music Festival in Mobile,
Al., to name a few. |
