Artist description
Low Flying Jets formed in New York City during the spring of 2002. Since formation, the band has steadily gained recognition and increased demand playing shows all over NYC. With such a diversity of influences as The Clash, The Kinks, Joy Division,U2, Radiohead, and The MC5 they are keeping it real with their own hi-energy rock n’ roll style. While each of Low Flying Jets songs have their own character the band has definitely found their niche as purveyors of fine rock music. Brad (Vocals/Guitar) rips through the live set like an escapee freeing the abundant potential of his voice and axe through the unprocessed sound of Low Flying Jets. Brian (Guitar/Vocals) seems to approach their music as a meditation, consistently reaching even higher planes of organic rock and roll enlightenment. Jeff (Drums) devours the drum kit with an aggressive yet collected compulsion. Sam (bass) plays it cool with his low key, high impact bass lines. Whether it’s the passionate vocals found in A cool hit, the pounding rhythm of Shangri-la, or the raw intensity of Afghanistan Low Flying Jets inject a dose of the good stuff into the skeptical, bored and under-stimulated ears of their listeners. Their website, www.lowflyingjets.com features photos, songs, show dates, and news. In addition to the website, the band has been distributing promotional Low Flying Jets matches because, Brian says, “the kids love them”.
