Artist description Jenni Alpert is a powerful sultry voice guaranteed to capture any audience. An eclectic – soul artist based out of Los Angeles, Alpert has paved her way from coast to coast by touring festivals, colleges, clubs and coffee shops with a grass roots style. Over the last 4 years she has performed with regularity both as a band leader and acoustic solo artist. Built on a foundation of soul, jazz and folk, Alpert has fresh musical ideas with a unique vocal style. In addition she has produced three records of her own: Honest Smile, Nothing’s Wrong and an acoustic EP Unpolished. To best compliment her songwriting, she fuses the diverse textures of Jazz-rock guitar, piano, organ, trumpet and fiddle. Yet on the road you will hear her rich melodic vocals complimented by her acoustic guitar. Through independent touring, Alpert has worked and shared the stage with many well respected musicians: Herbie Hancock, Kenny Burrell, Melissa Ferrick, Left Over Salmon, Alana Davis, and Kevin So. Her work has been featured in independent films shown at Sundance Film Festival, UCLA and USC.
