Artist History
Two guys in the St. Louis, Missouri area meet through mutual friends. Both are looking to start a 2-man underground metal project. The name Corax is adopted and after a few jam sessions and a serious connection of unique ideas & riffing styles, recording of "I Stab You" commences. 3 songs are recorded under the name Corax and the release of the I Stab You demo is made, after which the new name Failure Made Flesh is selected as a permanent epithet for future recordings. A couple of unfinished, unmastered songs are recorded under this name.
Corax/FMF no longer actually exists as of just recently. We've decided to form two solo projects instead. Too much conflict over musical ideas & direction, but alas that's the usual reason bands break apart, isn't it? Anyway, it was on good terms and we still play together in a hardrock-ninetiesalterna-deathmetal-punk-blackmetal-joke band called "Gordon Shumway & The Fetal Alcohol All Stars" with another musician friend, Bill. A real, live drummer! |
