Artist History
In 1996, Margo Granfors and Herbie Robinson formed Towering Pretzels as a group of musicians and songwriters committed to blending a wide range of musical and lyrical styles. All of the members have performed previously in cover/original bands, opening for James Montgomery, Sweet Roy Jones, Tom Rush, The Neville Brothers. In its first year of live performances, Towering Pretzels was accepted at most of the signifcant showcase clubs in the Boston/Worcester/Providence area. The ‘Pretzels’ sound starts from roots in rhythm and blues, branching out into acoustic and electric rock with elements of world-beat, folk, country, and funk. |
