Artist History
THUMPURR was formed by a typical frustrated bass player wanting to do her own music and rock hard and do summersaults on stage. So Many Men was recorded before I had a full band, and the band sounds very different now. We are currently recording with some amazing Producers and we'll have the following songs on here very soon "Damaged Girl", "Transylvanian Princess", and "So Many Men" (redone). Our music varies from the more serious "Damaged Girl" to the silly "Bunnies for Sale". Some new songs we will be performing in the future are "I Wish I Was Dave Navarro's Underwear", "Selfish", "Wonder Boy" and "Empty Life". The band is named after Lora's ultra special pet rabbit Thumper - R.I.P. |

Press Reviews
New Times by Jim Freek (2/10/00) --Poptopia at Spaceland, February 4, 2000 -- Abysmal sound marred a potentially promising evening at Spaceland, as bands like Green & Yellow TV, Fonda, and the cluelessly clumsy Irving had their retrofried sounds buried beneath a sludge of bad mixing. This had no effect whatsoever on THUMPURR, however, whose charmed amateurism and reckless energy simply convinced us that they were the Shaggs reborn as riot grrrls. |
