Artist History
There was only one important thing we learned in high school: the definition of the word juxtapose. What do you get when you mix a love-song-writing dirt farmer, a varsity baseball player, a ski bum and a high school band president turned sound guru? A Juxtaposition. We are all very different musicians and people as a whole, and we come together in an interesting contrast. We are four-piece rock band with an undeniable love for writing pop ballads. On a typical Montana summer night in June, we recorded six songs with Steve Taylor (who has worked with Built to Spill and other C/Z Records [Seattle] artists at Audio Lab in Boise] at a make-shift recording studio. We recorded six songs in six hours and mixed them down the following day. We later designed art work, burned 75 discs, and had a CD release party. It was an amazing summer. Now looking forward to a busy 2000! |
