Artist History
Dee Allen and David Younger initially met when a friend of Allen's asked him to help put together a band to play around town. Younger had been recently recommended to Allen as a great drummer with a "team-player" attitude. They rehearsed for several weeks with the group, but soon realized the other members were not as serious about the project.Dee remembered a high school buddy, Will Allen, who had been known for his impressive vocal range. He asked Will if he'd be interested in coming to a rehearsal. When the three of them sang together for the first time, the vibe was immediately apparent. Thus was born Tall Dark Stranger. They played as an acoustic trio for several months, adding hotshot lead guitarist Adam Landry in January of '99, and bass virtuoso Dave Shortt that July. |
