Artist description
Steve's a songwriter of many faces. First and foremost, he's a classic storyteller. In the mold of John Prine or Guy Clark, he captures people, places and emotions with unforgettable images. Then again, he's a master of the topical song. In 1998, he wrote a song a week for nationally-syndicated Hightower Radio. Finally, he's a humorist, five-time winner of Austin's O.Henry Pun-Off. Check out his three CDs -- Purgatory Road (1995), Bulletproof (1998) and Sex Lies and Videotape (1999) for songs that feed your mind while they move your heart. |
