Artist History Formed in 1990, Silly Rabbitt has been a staple of the NY/NJ alt. music scene for the last 10 years. Silly Rabbitt is currently on hiatus, settling down a bit in the NYC area. For 10 years, the foursome has been kickin'it up and down the East coast. In 1992 the band, unsigned, was chosen for a prestigous "FAST FORWARD" segment on MTV's 120 Minutes. Hosted by Dave Kendal, a clip of the video for "I Love Everything" from there 2nd Demo tape was featured.Immediately after the airing, doors began breaking down for the Rabbitt. They were able to expand their audience to Washington DC and Boston, while strengthenin their core NYC fan-base. The band was able to release an independent CD "KISS THE SUN", and was also included on several NY/NJ compilation disks ('Can You Say Hoboken' vol 1 & 3).The Rabbitt was able to record a track in Lenny Kravitz' Waterfront studios in Hoboken: The track "SYMPATHY" was recorded using some of the vintage studio gear acquired by Kravitz."Sympathy" was included on the 'Can You Say Hoboken Vol. 1' compilation, but was also included on their only full-length CD "SLOW".Silly Rabbitt released "SLOW" on their own "DEAD AIR" label, with distribution by Black Pumpkin.
