Artist History
Licorice Roots was originally formed in 1991 as Raymond Listen by Edward Moyse (guitar, vocals) and Dave Milsom (drums). David Silverman was soon added on organ to provide a melodic base to their quirky yet catchy brand of psychadelic pop.Their first album, 'Licorice Root Orchestra' was released on Shimmy-Disc in 1993 to wonderous praise and adulation. Soon after, the band regrouped themselves and changed the name to Licorice Roots. Arthur Marks was added on bass and in 1997 the album 'Melodeon' was released on MoodFood Records. Presently Licorice Roots is working on new material and is open to offers from labels. |
