Artist History Tracy McCracken and Willie Kissling formed Dick Whiskey in October 1997. The idea was to put together a rock band that could perform classic rock, new rock and also original rock music. Willie and Tracy met while jamming with a mutual friend. Immediately, they realized they had the foundation for a tight rock band. The band name is a word play on slang about sexual virility. Willie knew a great lead vocalist, Greg Owens, from a previous band they were in together. Greg was impressed and joined. The next task was to find a talented and capable lead guitarist. After many guitarist auditions, Mike Collard was tapped to be the guitarist. Dick Whiskey was complete and performed their first gig at a huge Halloween party on 10/31/97. Over the year 1998, Dick Whiskey performed at many local clubs and parties. The band wrote and recorded an original CD entitled “Bithlo Radio” which was released in October 1998. The fans loved it. Dick Whiskey gained a reputation for delivering a killer cover show along with great audience response for the original songs. 1999 began well enough, but Mike Collard left the band in March. This forced Dick Whiskey to once again search and audition for guitarists. After an exhausting search, Dick Whiskey was proud to have Eron Chambers join. Eron’s technical ability and experience gave a fresh and exciting sound to the already established Dick Whiskey sound. Since May ’99, Dick Whiskey has performed many shows at local clubs and is gaining momentum. The goals for Dick Whiskey are to write and record another CD, make more new friends and fans, to get bigger and better gigs and to become one of the most popular rock bands in Orlando. So far, Dick Whiskey is on track to accomplish all of these goals.
