Artist History
David Houston had trouble breaking into the business until a producer at Epic Records (while still a young company) took a chance on David. It turned out that Houston would bring Epic their first big hit, "Mountain of Love." He later recorded "Almost Persuaded," which won multiple Grammy's. Houston was a member of the Grand Ole Opry from 1971 until he died in 1993. |

Press Reviews
"David Houston shows that he is a masterful songwriter, capable of capturing a variety of emotions. This is one of the most graceful and elegant albums I've ever heard from any singer/songwriter, locally or nationally."-The Grind, spring 1998..... "Leonard Cohen toiling in Sacto; dark music that is not somber and very listenable", Sacramento News & Review, Dec. 1998 |
