Group Members
Due to the individual talents of each band member,The Merchant Collective seem to create the digestible complexity of integrating Hip-Hop andJazz together quite effortlessly for the past 12 seasons. As they imitate biblical Genesis throughthe means of Creation, there is something special to describe a band filled with seductive sax riffs, ear piercing trumpet pops, melodic vamps of Rhodes, vibrating bass strings, snapping snarekicks, transforming chirps, orbits, crab scratches, and conscious verbal gymnastics of the oppressedon the mic while generations of new and old can share in the ritual of nodding oral cavities and clapping hands. |
