Artist description The Scouts of the Cascades is a trio of strong harmonies and acoustic guitars. Pride fills us in our arrangements of Traditional, Golden Age and Contemporary eras of Western Music. We are teachers in the California Bay area who love to entertain and educate at the same time. Our dress is authentic and elaborate. --any ezcuse to get all gussied up. Our wives say we are full ourselves...and we know it. It's not because we stand in front of the mirror all day fast-drawing, or rushing to get on the horn when there's a boot and stirrup sale. Artist History The Scouts of the Cascades are playing at the Grand National Rodeo at the Cow Palace in San Francisco on October 24th, 31st, Nov 1st and 2nd. The Scouts hope to add the Grand National Rodeo at the Cow Palace to their other yearly gigs in California at the California State Fair at Cal Expo (August), Old Sacramento for Goldrush Days (August), Ukiah for Summer in the Cellers Bluegrass Festival (July), Hopland for Mc Dowell Winery Passport Wine Tasting in the fall (October) and spring (April), Walnut Creek for Heritage Days at Borgess Ranch (July), Pinole for Fernandez Ranch Music Festival (July), Lassen for Fire Mountain's Crab Feed (September), Hopland for the Mc Dowell Silver Buckle BBQ(September), El Sobrante for Shirely's Black Cowgirls' BBQ (June), Richmond for the Richmond Rough Riders SASS(September), Chabot SASS (September), Auburn Rodeo (June), Mineral (November), El Cerrito at Golden Gate Western Wear (Whenever we get a chance), In your living room when you email us. We might even play for free if you cry to Jeff. It's the cowboy way. We hear we're getting heavy rotation in Ireland. Maybe it's because a lot of Western Music is from Ireland.
