Artist History
John Scheithauer Jr. was born November 12, 1960 in Elmira, New York. He began playing the guitar at age four, then in fourth grade took lessons on the saxophone.
John played for three years in the school band, and opted to focus primarily on the guitar. After moving to Florida and graduating from high
school, he found work playing professionaly with several area bands. In 1980, at Memphis State, John studied classical guitar as a performance
major until moving back to New York. Over the course of a year, and after playing with bands in Florida and New York, he was accepted into one
of only twenty Air Force Bands stationed around the world. In addition to recording five albums in nine years, the Air Force Band became mainstays
at fairgrounds, high schools, college campuses, military bases, prisons, and political parties acoss America and the globe. Showing his versatility,
John was a member of the jazz, country, rock, and concert bands as well as perfoming as a classical guitar soloist. After parting ways from the Air Force
in 1990, John moved back to Florida and played with the band "Two Way Street", touring clubs throughout the southeastern region of the country. He moved
to St. Louis (where he currently resides) to be closer to his daughter. With the aid of computer software, home recording equipment and his various musical
talents, John now produces and programs the music he plays on the songs heard on mp3.com.
