Artist description
Formed in the summer of 2002, Here Comes The
Metric System is the end product of several
years, and several bands, experience. Here
Comes The Metric System plays a distinct brand
of alterna-pop. The band combines the catch
and energy of pop with a maturity and honesty
that forges its distinct style. Here Comes
The Metric System conveys optimism alongside
melancholy, culminating in a sound refreshing
in contrast to much of the indie/alternative
community. Quickly after forming, the band built
a sizable repertoire and went directly into the
studio to record a five-song EP. Since the
completion of the EP, the band has concentrated
on playing out in the Atlanta, -metro, and
surrounding Southeast areas, while trying to
increase their ever-growing fan base. |
