| Artist description BLACK AVALANCHE is an improvisational
side project of S.C. Whiteside from COLD WORLD
(http://www.mp3.com/coldworld). Although BLACK AVALANCHE
sounds reminiscent of COLD WORLD, the songs are more
groove oriented, and loose. Lyrically, BLACK AVALANCHE deals
with everything from COLD WORLD style isolation agony (such as
in songs like "Something Beautiful"), to Tlingit Indian folklore and
ridiculous vocalisations ("Devilfish" and "Vomit Jam"). BLACK AVALANCHE
takes most of its influence from Justin Broadrick/Kevin Martin
projects such as God, Ice, and Godflesh.
