Artist History The roots in this band run deep. Mike and Robby have been friends since kindergarten. Pete and Rob met years later when they were around fourteen. The love for the craft of songwriting, to see people inspired by the uplifting lyrics, and the beauty of locking down a tight groove is what drives this trio to continue writing the music they create. Mike is a self taught singer songwriter since the age of 15. He realized his lot in life was music the first time he picked up a guitar. Since that time he has been working on perfecting his craft. His love for surfing, the beach, and unity is his inspiration for this uplifting feel good music. Robby has been playing percussion since the age of nine. From styles such as corps, rock, jazz, and blues he has aspired to make his mark in the music industry. Pete began playing guitar at age seven, and then picked up the upright bass at age eleven. At the age of fourteen he picked up the electric bass. A short time after that Rob and Pete met and clicked from the start. Senior year in High School Rob joined Mike in his first band Cloud 9 and the two connected for the first time. Four years down the road the three came together to record Stranded. There was a definite connection between the three. However Rob and Pete were dedicated to another project at the time and moved to Dallas. Mike knew in his heart that Pete and Rob were destined to play with him, and a year later the rhythm section moved back to Houston and formed the band Mono's Jungle. Presently they are recording and producing their first full length album due in 2004'.
