Artist History Jack and Dave have been making beautiful music together for the almost ten years now. Their musical collaboration started with a weekly getogether in Winter Park Florida in 1995. They continued to play there with some other friends every week until Dave moved in next door to Jack 3 years later. As a single guy living in a four-bedroom house, Dave felt the time was right to put together a home studio. Their Monday night performances quickly turned into a weekly recording session. In 1999 the newly named Dick's Dog (named after their Neighbor's dog that recently had a tree fall on it) released "The Fence". The new CD consisted of 14 songs - some covers, some originals. Jack and Dave continued recording until Dave accepted a job out of state in the fall of 1999. They quickly put the finishing touches on all the recordings they had been working on and put out an EP called "The Geography Lesson". For the next three years Jack finished his MBA and Dave got married and started a family of his own (following in Jack's footsteps - Jack has a wife and a son of his own). After Jack was finished with school, the decision was made to start the Dick's Dog machine up again. Some of the songs you'll be seeing on this website over the next few months represent songs that they have been working on during their hiatus plus brand new songs that mark the first time the boys have truly collaborated on originals. Recording sessions our happening at both of their homes and digital files are transferred to each other for collaboration. Other sessions are happening at Jack’s Gazing Sphere studio in Orlando where the boys recorded together earlier this spring. STAY TUNED!!!!!
