Artist History
Air Tight Alibi has emerged as one of the rising
stars of Austin’s punk rock scene, formerly named
interstate 808 and booked with such bands as Face
to Face, Thursday, Dynamite Boy and the Van’s
Warped Tour. With front man, Brady Black,
accompanied by vocalists\guitarists Ty Tyner and
Lance Thomas, bassist Nick Free and drummer Adam
Gibbs, ATA mixes a unique mix of punk, pop and
hard-core that is sure to leave a melody in your
head, and your fist in the air.
Air Tight Alibi's latest EP, "the forgotten"
(march 2003) was produced by veteran Tim Gerron
(David Bowie, Born To Lose, Greyline)
Interstate 808’s EP, “At the Top of My Lungs”
(July 13, 2002) was also produced by Tim Gerron
and has sold successfully at their shows since
release.
Air Tight Alibi has played regularly since the
Summer of 2000, performing in such Austin venues
as, The Back Room, Emo’s, The Flamingo Cantina
and The Red Eye Fly. In the Summer of 2002, Air
Tight Alibi (Interstate 808) won the Ernie Ball
Battle of the Bands Contest, performing along
side bands Thursday, NOFX, and Bad Religion at
the Van’s Warped Tour in San Antonio, Texas.
With it combination of wild, memorable live show,
and well-selling EP, Air Tight Alibi leaves a
lasting impression on all who hear them. |
