Artist History
Born in 1980, Sandy developed her love for music at an extremely young age. As an only child, music was not just sound, but a companion. She began singing at the age of three, and then started piano lessons at the age of five. At 13, she picked up her first guitar and started playing. Self-taught, her mother showed her a few basic chords, and then sandy was off and running. It wasn't until her sophomore year in college, however, that she began to write her own music. With the help of a friend, she wrote her first two songs, "Sporadic" and "Supposed To" in 1999 & 2000. Since then, Sandy has written and completed 5 more original songs on her own, and has countless works in progress. A unique sound that blends folk, rock, and pop with an occasional free-spirited country feel, her melodic and infectious vocals, paired with a strong rhythmic guitar will not only hit your heart, but move your feet. Her first demo was recorded in August, 2002 and can be purchased for $5 by emailing her at rckstarr58@yahoo.com - "Music is only music if someone's listening." |
