Artist History Kidd illa was born and raised in the tough streets of Chicago's west side. Through is late father he found his love for rap and basketball, as a youngster he started rapping and entertaining the class like a clown and formed a group called "g.o.v". At the age of 14 his family left the windy city for a quieter life with his aunt in Earle, Arkansas, a town just over the bridge from Memphis Tennessee. There he was first introduced to the sounds and the ways of the south. Focusing more on basketball he spent 1 year playing junior varsity and at the "court", the local park where all the street games were played . After 2 years in Arkansas he moved up north to Omaha Nebraska with his mother, there he found a more up-tempo sound, still following his hoop dreams throughout another relocation to Louisville Kentucky and finally being on his own at the age of 17 he joined the U.S Navy and decided to follow his rap/filming dreams to Virginia Beach VA. Illa decided to attend acting school and focus on his craft ,not trying to be just another rapper turned actor he decided to write, film ,direct ,and produce his own songs/films/comedy skits ... Illa 's determined to be the next entertainment mogul!!!!
