Artist description
Singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Robin "Raynelle" Batey is a twenty-year-old native of Nashville Tennessee. She is a member of Greater Christ Temple Church lead by Bishop Sherman L. Merritt Sr. From the age of seven; Robin has been featured in several Christian music videos, commercials, soundtracks, television specials, conventions, and etc. Some of her talent accomplishments include starring as a singer/dancer at the former Opryland Theme park in a number of shows starting the age of ten. At twelve she appeared on the first episode of " Kids Apollo" at the world famous Apollo Theater in New York. She was also a featured soloist at the groundbreaking ceremonies of the Adelphia Coliseum, now home of the Tennessee Titans. Robin attended The Nashville School of the Arts Magnet High School where she continued to showcase her talents. She earned a principal role as an actress on a show titled "Club Write" which is still aired on WDCN in many areas of Tennessee. At sixteen she joined the PTAP (Positive Theory Awareness) Ministry lead by Motivational speaker Roderick Glover. Her senior year, Raynelle was one of twelve chosen out of fifteen hundred singers and dancers to perform in the "Gaylord Ambassador Teen Show" for three seasons out at Oprymills Mall. After graduation Robin performed and traveled with several dance ensembles taking her from Baltimore, Maryland to Tallahassee, Florida where she was one of the hand picked few to train with the world-renowned pioneer dancer Catherine Dunham.
Currently, Robin Raynelle is recording her first untitled album and desires to continue to be a positive influence among the youth of today. She believes that ultimately only what you do for Christ will last. |
