With the release of The Audible Diaries, The Broadcast is destined to touch your heart, take over your radio, and get you excited about music once again! The group who has played under the name for eternity for the past 2 years has hit the scene again with a new sound, new image, and new name. This, the groups sophomore effort following the groups 2000 release WHY?, is proof that this band has something special that will take hold of your heart. Thought provoking lyrics backed by irresistible hooks and emotionally charged music are finely tuned together to make this brand new sound. A sound that is destined to bring hope, and answers to a secular world, crying out for someone like this to come along. " This is a proud moment for us, we have finally made the music that our hearts have wanted to make for a while, this music is about the way that God's faithfulness endures all and how turning to him is the only way we have found to fill the void so often found in peoples lives these days." J.R. Denson (vocals). In November of 2001 the band went into the studio with brother producing duo Todd and Toby Pipes. Their smash hit "Breakfast at Tiffany's" went #1 all around the world and the record eventually sold over 3 million records. They have produced bands such as platinum selling Drowning Pool, Flickerstick, and had production credits on their own albums as well. Mixing Credits go to The Count (New Order, Run DMC, No Doubt) Stuart Sikes (White Stripes, Promise Ring) and also the Pipes Brothers. " This was a major blessing for us, they have really helped our sound evolve and they have helped us make a record that we are proud of." says Ethan Kaufmann (guitar) " we love music, we love playing, and we love each other and there is no greater gift to be able to share all that with different people every night. Something special happens when the five of us are together, music comes out of us that is bigger than anything we could ever do or be, that in itself is what keeps us going." J.R. Denson (vocals) That special something is also what will take these five friends straight to the top and into your soul. With a stacked line-up of industry veterans and dedicated fans these guys are on their way. " We started out wanting to learn one song in my living room and everything has just built off of that. We are just five guys who have something to say. So many times these days music is empty, we want to effect the lives of the listeners in a way that in the end the effect is greater than anything we could ever have done on our own." Says Chris Holston (guitar) When you look at them you would never believe that these five kids have already changed so many lives and show no signs of slowing down. They are a breath of fresh air for society to look up and hear something positive. A message of hope that says, "you don't have to change", "you're free in God", love." We have a heart for those who feel like sometimes they aren't good enough, or who are lonely, the kid who has never known what happiness feels like that is why we do this!" Thomas Ross (Bass) Check out the new record The Audible Diaries and be on the look out for a sound that can change your life!

Dallas' Newest Rockers Prove that They Have What it Takes! We’ve all heard the slogan: “The more you know, the more you grow”. Teachers love it, preachers preach it and once in a while, bands will prove it wrong. If you haven’t noticed lately, it seems like good bands just keep getting younger and younger. This seems to be the case for one of Dallas’ newest and hottest groups, The Broadcast. Heck, the oldest member in the band is twenty and the youngest only 17 (oddly enough, the two are brothers)! The Broadcast proves that age truly doesn’t matter! The band just released a full length CD entitled “Audible Diaries”. The album, produced by Todd and Toby Pipes (Yup! Deep Blue Something, another Dallas band) proves that The Broadcast isn’t just another young band looking for a future in music. In this reporter’s opinion, they have found it! Every once in a while, you hear a good CD with 7 or 8 good songs, 2 or 3 so-so songs and 1 awful song that leaves you questioning “What where they thinking”? The Broadcast goes above and beyond music lover’s expectations with “Audible Diaries”. It proves itself with the catchy reggae-ish “First Amendment” and moves right along into “Searching for a Purpose” (this track has modern rock hit written all over it). The album slows down into a few mid-tempo songs and jumps right in your face again with the poppy Carousel and then the Third Eye Blind-esk alternative rock tune, Paintbrush. This band is definitely one of the better talents right now in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Their live show is wonderful too. Lead singer J.R. Denson displays a special bond with the audience. The guys show wonderful energy and stage presents and they really know how to rock! Look for this band in the future! You won’t want to miss them! - Mrs. Judy R. *Taken from www.dfwscene.com
