Artist History
Ivan Santana, was introduced to Electronic Music during 1990, when the Underground Rave scene, was bangin in S.D. Influenced by Trance Music, such as "The Future Sound of London". Ivan Santana became a Trance Dj, in 1994, under the name DJ Pils. He played mostly at house partys in the S.D. area. He attended a rave called "Plantassia", in Orange County, California, in New Years Eve 1994, that changed his Life.
Then in 1995 Ivan began experimenting with Electronic Music Production, using a drum machine and sampler. And later, in 1996 He bought his first, full on production system, a KORG TRINITY Music Workstation DRS, which he still uses to this day.
Through time he has upgraded his music production studio. Useing systems, such as, the KORG KAOS PAD, KORG D16 Digital Recording Studio, KRK Studio Monitors, and other necessary studio equipment. Today Ivan Santana a.k.a. Dr. Pils, continues to compose music, among his other projects, in his studio "Level 3". |
