Artist description BRASS BALLS is hard/classic rock from hard/classic musicians. We're all in our 40's and damn proud of it! Our songs, and our musicianship, are enriched by our life experiences. We are all now family men with grey hair (well, those of us have still have hair, that is!), and hard living for the thrill of it is in the past. But we still know how to ROCK! When the time comes, we'll be playing music from our walkers and wheelchairs, and still be making audiences' ears ring.

Similar Artists LED ZEPPELIN for sure - we could probably be the ultimate Zep tribute band if we wanted. But we'd rather be the only Brass Balls!

Artist History The band has existed with different lineups for a while, but the current configuration (E.J., Rick and Bill) has been stable now for about a year. (We've considered adding a full-time singer, and maybe a keyboardist, as well -- see below for contact information if interested.) Rick and E.J. are New Jersey-born and bred, and have been in and around the Jersey music scene since the early '70s. Bill was born and raised in NYC, and dabbled with various instruments until settling on the bass in the early '80s.

Group Members (in alphabetical order) E.J. Coyote (Super Genius) - drums; Rick Masters - electric and acoustic guitars; Bill Stephens - bass.

Instruments Rick's guitar sound is classic and yet uniquely Rick. His usual weapon of choice is a Gibson Les Paul '59 reissue juiced by a Cornford amp. Bill's basses are mostly B.C. Richs and Gibsons. E.J. plays Tama drums, and sometimes makes his own (hey, he IS a genius!).

Albums We're in the process of making our first album, tentatively called BOUNCE. We will make teasers and instrumentals available as free downloads while we're recording.
