    Artist description
Starla was born as a vision from front man Matt Demicco. In late August of 2002 Demicco and drummer Jeff O'Brien recorded two tracks at HoundsTooth studio in Manchester NH. Soon afterward, Dan Casey joined on bass and the name Starla was decided upon. In following months Allan Arakelian joined as a guitarist to complete the line up. Starla's sound can be described as a new breed of rock and roll whose sound can be compared to artists such as Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters and Saves the Day. Their influences include The Smiths, Bruce Springsteen and lots of heavy metal. Starla brings to you harmonizing guitars, triumphant vocals and a touch of atmospheric keyboard arrangements all elements featured within their powerful, brilliant live performances. With songs that deal with rejection, death and courageous rebellion, they will without a doubt rock you through the night. The band's mission is not to set their dreams and aspirations on the back burner, but to come forth and play with all heart, mind, and soul. Despite any set backs or obstacles, they will pursue their dreams until the story is over. We are Starla.
