Artist description
A Kentucky native teams up with Backwoods Records in efforts to produce a contemporary urban country album. Instead the team fused a fresh form of pop music that crosses over into many genres of music including: R&B, alternative rock and, yes, even country.
The versatility of Shamara's Country Girl Album is described to be fun, yet heartfelt, all the way from the depths of a small country town, to the heart of the big city.
All this combined with the simple, sexy, "Girl Next Door" image and appeal that Shamara brings as an artist.
Her song, "Country Girl", a hot country/pop up tempo about a country girl who begins to want more out of life than the simple country life that she leads now. Shamara expresses these feelings in this fun, danceable yet country crossover friendly song.
There is no doubt this Country Girl, Shamara, has the big dreams, the big songs with big heart to make it in the big pop arena, and, in turn, will do big things as her musical career continues to flourish.
At 21 years old, she has already begun to launch a blossoming modeling career and aspires to also become an television & film actor in addition to her musical career where she is presently learning to play the guitar.
Another great song on the album is "Breakthrough" which was originally recorded, but never released, by up & coming RCA recording artist: Heather Headley. "Breakthrough" is a feel-good, motivational song about weathering the storms of life, coping and gaining peace of mind with yourself.
The music, style, of Shamara reaches out and touches audiences with her simplicity, class, and a familiar-like, non threatening approach.
