Artist History Nick Vasallo was born in Oakland, CA 1979. Raised by hard working but non-musical parents(aside from listening - Vasallo's father has an extensive collection and knowledge of recorded music; which had a dramatic influence on his son's life.) Yet music wasn't encouraged scholastically or professionally. Despite the family differences Vasallo self-taught music throughout his teens and began writing original works. His inclination for making music had grown so strong by his early 20's that his family agreed that he should study Music and Composition seriously at college. Vasallo has an additional affinity for movies, both interests have grown into the mysterious direction of Film Scoring. Which he now pursues.
