Artist History Known throughout the LA poetry scene as the rock/punk storyteller She was raised with a classical background, with flute and piano as her primary background, her favorite styles were "baroque" influences and some contemporary, from Mozart to DeBussy, also having some study in opera and rock with the famous opera diva Marvellee Cariaga. Jade Id's song raves include Kurt Weil (Mahagonny, including Alabama and other arists..though she preferred to sing German and Italian opera. Her first band, she co-created with a guitarist, and was called Confluence. It was a surreal with sometimes a mellow streak; combining flute and guitar, with a style akin to Cocteau Twins. She has provided a flute solo for a film in Australia and worked with various bands as composer, guitarist, lead singer, keyboardist and flautist.
