Artist description
Aside from composition, the musical activities of Ronin E-Ville include DJing, live electro-acoustics, production, re-mixing, and sound engineering. DJing since 1997, he spent a few years paying dues first as a wedding and Pub DJ. Ronin has since moved on to play a variety of clubs, bars, galleries, parties and cafes such as Mob4Globe, Evolution, and Aria in T.O., and Therapy, the Black Dog, and the Backroom in Edmonton. York’s CHRY 105.5 has provided another oulet by regularly playing selections from Ronin’s five independent micro-pressings of his own music. As for his style, it is wide ranging and incorporates everything from funky, jazzy, deep, or progressive dance beats, to downtempo, world, and experimental sounds. Music can affect us on all levels of our existence and Ronin E-Ville strives to create art which reflects that and the multi-cultural, post modern world he lives in.
