Artist History
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Began playing guitar at about age 13.
First band was Solid Waste and included brothers Albert and Eddie along with some of the neighborhood kids. Solid Waste was a fun "joking" original band very much like MOD and the Surf Punks. Biggest "hit" was titled 'We Will Kick Your Ass'.....go figure!
During high school and for a short time after graduation Edgar played with the band Jester. Jester was an 80's glam/metal cover band...."Rock On" and show me those horns!
Next played with cover band OR Band all from 1993 until 1997. OR Band was a revolving door of weekend warrior musicians who would gather to hammer out tunes at the occasional backyard party. The OR Band was mostly a vehicle to blow off steam while 'suffering' in college.
In early 2000, alterna-rock band RedEye Factor (www.redeyefactor.com) was formed with drummer/vocalist Julio Samble and bassist Mike Saucedo. RedEye Factor is a three-piece band that with roots going back to early 1998 when Edgar and Julio began collaborating on some tunes. Currently the band is playing shows throughout the southwestern United Staes with a full-length album in the works for release in April 2003.
Origins of Edgar's solo material featured on this site go way back to as early as 1992. It was not until late 2002 that a project was started to record and distribute these solo works. Edgar's full-length solo album is also in the works and should be out by May 2003. |
