Artist description Urban Heat Island (UHI) influences come from early 1980's U.K elctronic pop. The electronic sounds which beeped and modulated early electronic groups intothe charts are the back bone to UHI's style. UHI then fuses these sounds with hip-hop & electro beats, with just a touch of modern dance big beat culture to help it on along the way. Formed in 1998, the groups first CD/EP 'Back Beat' is now complete and on sale at www.mp3.com/urbanheatisland.
