Artist History
Old Shoe Box emerged from the ashes of Uprising Records' artist Unfashion. After disbanding on mid 2002, former Unfashion members PH, Guilherme, Debarry and Fabio united on late 2002 with singer Felipe to start a fresh band. Unfashion's contributions to the Brazilian scene were numerous, such as releasing an album stateside through Uprising (7 Angels 7 Plagues, Kid Gorgeous, Blue Sky Goodbye, Pressure, Stretch Armstrong, etc), being chosen band of the month by the internationally acclaimed theprp.com as well as other sites, shooting a video, touring nonstop for 4 years and opening for bands such as Mudhoney, Shelter, Lagwagon and Bambix, but these men had to continue playing heartfelt music for the sake of doing it. Old Shoe Box picks up where Unfashion left, playing emotionally-driven, heartfelt hardcore. This time, though, they have no boundaries since Felipe shares the same vision and talent they do. They are all about emotion, building incredible dynamics and diving into super mellow choruses. Old Shoe Box is currently playing shows at their hometown and already opened for Pulley (Epitaph Records). Enjoy 3 songs from their new 6-song demo while they prepare to release a debut album next year. |
