Artist History The band originally formed in June of 1998 in western New York under the name Bike Rent. After a successful summer in NY, the band decidedto move to Denver to have the larger market opportunities with quick access to the mountains and ski towns. Upon arriving in Denver, the name was changed to Latavon. After a couple personnel changes,Swivel Hips Smith has emerged with a cleaner, tightersound.
