Artist History
Harvest originated in 1995 with Ian, Jeff and three other players. After four years and many musicians, they finally settled with a group of guys with a real chemistry.Early in 1999, after graduation from Center for Digital Imaging and Sound in Vancouver, Ian moved back to the island and hooked up with Kris. They knew of Carsen from his previous band, "Omni", and called Jeff back for keyboards. Newly formed, the band hurriedly recorded a demo CD to enter in 100.3 the Q (CKQQ in Victoria)'s "Rocktoria" competition, under the name "Dreaming Tree." With Ian singing and playing guitar and bass, the search for a new bassist began.Their search ended with Shawn Dakin, also of the band "Major." In September of 1999, Harvest was reborn. Trying to raise a buzz, they have been playing Jam Nights and High School and local small gigs. Currently in the works is the new full-length album. After touring several small local studios, they decided to tackle the task of engineering and producing the music on their own, with much success. |
