Artist History
In spring of '96 Martin, Taylor and Stevenson formed the enigmatic band, Damd. They pooled in their latest efforts and began the tedious process of recording. With no drummer on hand, they were left no choice but to use all programming for their songs. The utmost level of detail was given to their drum parts and can be witnessed on such tracks as Animal Love and The Meat. The final mix of the album was finished literally the day before Stevenson was to leave for Berklee College of Music to intensify studies. The album was released locally on cassette and the band went on hiatus for the next couple of years while the members endured a period of growth and had acquired new influences. The trio regrouped in the summer of '99 to polish up their original tracks and release the original album on CD exclusively through Mp3.com. Today sees DamD in pre-production of their newest effort (yet to be titled) and to be released in late spring/early summer 2000. This album promises only to disturb and confuse. Please check back frequently. Demos of new songs will be posted over the next couple of months leading up to the huge CD release. |
