Artist description
Cry of Mercy plays original modern Christian rock fusing a variety of influences: guitar-driven rock, infectious keyboard grooves, gutsy blues, soft ballads. The band features a strong, 4 member vocal team layering rich harmonies over keyboards, lead and rhythm guitars, bass and drums. Thank you for the music, Lord! |

Artist History
Based in Westminster, MD and formed Fall 1998, Cry of Mercy has just released their first CD: "seven", a collection of seven originals demonstrating their breadth in style: guitar-driven rocker "Struck Down" followed by vocal-rich, even country-edged "You Know", followed by the haunting unplugged "Midnight Meditation". More diversity follows with groove-filled "Lost and Found", contemporary "Least of These", and the angelic "Just Ask Him". Seven culminates intensely in "Three Days", the powerful drama of events preceding Christ's crucifixion. All songs were recorded live in the studio, with minimal dubbing, and no parts that the band does not perform live. Cry of Mercy says: Thank you for the music, Lord! When we first got together as a band, we really had no idea how much God would bless us. It was a crazy combination – a few 15 year olds, a couple of “20 or 30- somethings”, and a few geezers pushing 50 – but all of us wanting to make music to praise our Savior, Jesus Christ. He brought us together - just a bunch of average musicians, each wanting to serve Him through music - and then made this far greater than our collective talents. Our prayer is simply that our music would help you - yes, you! - feel just how much He also loves you, no matter "where you are" right now. Cry of Mercy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit music ministry. Please e-mail us if you have questions on our ministry. |
